The publishing division was formed four years ago and has quickly grown to one of the top 5 children’s publishers due to the strength of our licensed children’s list, which included blockbuster films and TV series from leading studios including Disney, DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Universal and 4 Kids.

In 2006, our children’s business will feature an exciting fiction list featuring books by some of the best emerging local and overseas authors.  Plus, Funtastic have been awarded distribution rights for Tokyopop, the largest English language publisher of manga (Japanese-style comics).  The combination of a strong children’s fiction list, the manga range, and a licensed programme that is stronger than ever will further cement Funtastic as a leader in children’s publishing.

The international side of our business began in 2004 and quickly  grew to account for over a quarter of our total turnover with healthy business in export sales, co-editions, and packaging on every continent--except Antarctica. Our overseas trading partners continue to expand, and we anticipate strong growth in our international  business in the coming years.

Funtastic publishing prides itself in being one of the largest Australian-owned  publishing houses. We strive to support the best in local brands and authors, and we actively accept submissions for book ideas.  We are always looking for innovative formats, stories, and ideas that have a commercial appeal.  Please read the Funtastic Submissions Guidelines for further details
