Since
listing, we have continued to enhance our position
as the pre-eminent children’s products company
in Australia through organic growth and strategic
acquisitions, namely that of JNH Australia- previously
Funtastic’s major competitor in Nov 2002
(effective July 02), and Toy & Hobby in September
2002. In 2003, Funtastic acquired one of Australia’s
largest apparel distributors in Australian Horizons.
More recently, in October of 2005, Funtastic acquired
Dorcy Irwin a major player in the toy industry,
which cemented our position as the largest toy
company in the Australian market place.
Funtastic currently has 10 main product categories
divided into 4 key areas of business; Toys, Nursery
& Sporting; Homewares & Confectionery;
Apparel; Footwear & Accessories and Publishing
& Interactive Entertainment. Licensed brands
form a major part of Funtastic’s business
and many of the world’s hottest licenses
have found a home at Funtastic. Classic brands
like Barbie™, Thomas the Tank Engine™,
Bob the Builder, The Wiggles™ and Winnie
the Pooh™ along with more recent smash hits
such as Tamagotchi™, Bratz™, Robosapien
and Leapfrog™.
Funtastic has also expanded into the new Zealand
marketplace via the strategic acquisition of Planet
Fun; a major toy-children's product company in
New Zealand. |
